Reserve a device
Hold a device for a customer so nobody else sells it, then release it or sell it.
Updated 30 September 2026
This guide shows you how to hold a device for a customer who will come back to pay. A reserved device cannot be sold to anyone else until you release it. Everyone in the store can reserve a device.
Reserve a device
- Tap Devices and find the device. You can search by brand, model or IMEI.
- Open the device. It must show Available.
- Tap Reserve.
- In Reserved for, type the customer's name and anything you agreed. For example: "Aisha, paying Friday".
- Tap Reserve.
The device now shows Reserved, and its page shows who it is reserved for. It no longer appears on the Sell page, so nobody sells it by mistake.
Sell a reserved device
When the customer comes back:
- Open the device.
- Tap Release reservation. The device is available again.
- Tap Sell. The Sell page opens with the device already in the cart.
- Take payment as usual. See Make a sale.
Release a reservation
If the customer does not come back, open the device and tap Release reservation. The device goes back on sale at once.
See reserved devices
- The Devices page shows how many devices are reserved, under Available.
- Tap Filters, then under Status tap Reserved to list them all.
Tip: Write the date the customer promised to pay in Reserved for. Then you can see at a glance which reservations are late.
Tip: Only an available device can be reserved. A sold, returned or archived device cannot.
