Refer a shop

This guide shows how to share your store's referral code with another shop, and what you both get. Everyone in your store can share the code.

What you get

When a shop joins Inventra with your store's code and pays for any plan, both stores get one free month.

Your 12th paying shop earns a bonus year on top: 24 free months for 12 shops. After that, each shop earns a free month again.

Only a real payment counts. A free trial does not, and nor does a year we give a shop for free. A store opened by someone who is already at your store does not count either.

Find your code

1. Tap Refer a shop, beside Help and support. On a phone, it is under More.
2. Your store's code is at the top: eight letters and numbers.

Share it

• Copy code: give the code to the shop in a message or in person.
• Copy link: your link ends in /start?ref= and your code. It opens sign-up with your code filled in.
• Share on WhatsApp: sends a short message with your code and the link.

What the new shop does

1. The shop opens your link, or taps Start your free trial on this website and types your code under Referral code. Capitals, spaces and hyphens do not matter.
2. It signs up as usual: see Sign up and start your free trial. If the code is wrong, the form says so: they can check it with you or leave it empty.
3. The shop sets up its store and starts its free trial straight away.
4. When the shop pays for a plan, the free months are earned.

When the months arrive

The free months are added within an hour or so of the shop's first payment. Each store's month goes on its own plan, and the owner hears on WhatsApp, and by email if the account has one.

If your store isn't on a paid plan

You don't need to pay first. If your store is on its free trial, or your plan has ended, your free months run on the Shop plan: after your trial ends, or from the day they are earned.

You can buy a plan at any time. Buy Business and it starts at once, with your remaining free time after it. A smaller plan starts when your free months end.

Who sees what

Everyone in your store sees the code and can share it. Only the owner sees the list of shops that joined with it, where each one stands and the free months added.
