Sign up and start your free trial

This guide helps you open your shop on Inventra and start your free trial. It is for owners. If your store owner added you as staff, see Activate your account instead.

Before you start

• You need only your phone. No email is needed to sign up: one is asked for only when you pay online.
• If another shop told you about Inventra, ask for its referral code or its link.

Sign up

1. Tap Start your free trial at the top of this website. In the app, you can also tap Start your free trial under "New to Inventra?" on the sign-in page. If another shop sent you its link, open that instead: its code is filled in for you.
2. Type Your name.
3. Type Your phone number. You sign in with it. Check the country next to the number.
4. Type your Shop name.
5. Check the Currency: what you sell in. It is NGN for a Nigerian number and USD for any other; pick another if you need to. It cannot change later.
6. Type your Shop address (optional) if you like. It prints on your receipts, and you can add it later.
7. Type the Referral code (optional) from the shop that told you about Inventra, or leave it empty.
8. Tap Continue.

Tip: Pick the currency carefully. It cannot be changed later.

Confirm your phone

1. On Check your messages, find the 6-digit code we send to your phone on WhatsApp. If WhatsApp cannot reach your number, it comes by text message.
2. Type it in Code.

Tip: No code after a minute? Tap Resend code, or tap Text me the code instead.

Tip: If your number already has an Inventra account, we send you a WhatsApp message to sign in instead.

Choose a password

1. Type a password in Choose a password. Use at least 8 characters.
2. Type the same password in Repeat the password.
3. Tick the box to accept the terms of use and the privacy policy.
4. Tap Create my account.

Open your store

You are signed in, and Set up your store opens.

1. Your store: check the details you signed up with. Your logo, signature and receipt settings can wait: add them any time later in Settings. See Set up your store.
2. Tap Continue to your plan.
3. Tap Start my free trial.

Your store opens on its free trial, with every feature and nothing to pay until you choose a plan. See Choose or change your plan.

Good to know

• One free trial per person: a second store you add opens once its first year is paid.
• More stores: add another store any time. Tap Add a store on your list of stores, or use the store menu.
• Referrals: once you are in, you can share your own store's code. See Refer a shop.
